FAME, 2014 – today

A work about homeless signs www.iamhungry.it

From 2014 Sabine Delafon buys homeless paper signs where they say to be hungry. She talks with them and photographs the purchase of their advertisements. The paper cards are then photographed and the photos are printed. Every advertisement becomes a black and white poster in a 100×700 cm format (edition limited to ten pieces at 100€ each), a Marios t-shirt (edition limited to ten pieces at 100€ each) and a Limoges porcelain plate (edition limited to ten pieces at 100€ each). The printings can be bought. Part of the proceeds is donated to Banco Alimentare www.bancoalimentare.it.

“I am hungry” is in reality a message, a human condition shared by all: regardless of whether it is hunger for food, hunger for love, hunger for beauty, culture or travels, we all are hungry for something.
